Official fees and new procedures

The Bureau for Intellectual Property has raised the official fees by 13% approx. This rise has been in force since June 1st, 2009, together with a provision of new procedures.

For your better comprehension of the new system, below we mention the most significant changes:

• Application for registration covers the first 3 classes


• Accelerated search possible with a result in 3 working days


• Search by owner possible


• Accelerated registration possible in 5 working days


• Registration of General Powers introduced


• General Power valid indefinitely


• Surcharge for late renewal introduced


• Registration of Change of Agent introduced


• Fees for corrections before, during or after registration introduced
