Locarno's Clasification

On September 12, 2008, Law 26.042 came into force, which approves the International Classification for Industrial Designs under the Locarno Agreement, concluded in Locarno (Switzerland) on October 8, 1968.

The filing of industrial designs is referenced to a single classification system which comprises:

a) a list of classes and subclasses;

b) an alphabetical list of goods in which industrial designs are incorporated, with an indication of the classes and subclasses under which they fall.
